What gets you moving? What pushes you harder to go further, faster? What’s your motivation?
Today, on a hot humid long run I had to dig deep and use more than one.
1st motivation – commitment. I’ve committed to myself, my family & registered for a half marathon in 2 weeks. No turning back, I will finish!
2nd motivation – desire. I want to performer a higher level, so I need to train hard. If I quit now, I’ll never achieve my goal.
3rd motivation – scenic beauty.
4th motivation – reward! With a 10 mile training run in the books, I can enjoy any cravings that might come my way today without a twinge of guilt.
